Great investment!

As an older woman, I was afraid a snowblower would be too much to handle, but I was wrong!  It is strong enough to do the job of the deep northern Michigan snow but the steering assist made it easy and that is not heard of up hear.  Controlling the direction and distance of the snow with the joystick control is a time saver.  I should have done this sooner!

Buyer Beware! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS OR ANY OTHER CRAFTSMAN MACHINE

I purchased this machine a year ago in February 2015. I used it 10 times. I tried to start it up in January 2016 and it would not work. I purchased the 3 year service plan, which ended up being worthless and had the serviceman come out. After a 5 minute consultation, he told me it was the carburetor which was not working on many of the same machines. It took almost a month to get the part. Guess what... the replacement didn't work. He tried another new carburetor a few weeks later and guess what... IT DIDN'T WORK! The serviceman deemed the machine defective and we tried to get the machine replaced. By now it's the end of February because of the delay on the part and trying to get it replaced. We can't get a replacement as promised by Sears service because IT'S THE END OF SEASON. I guess the end of February is the end of winter in the Northeast. I feel lied to and ripped off. I'm going to sell it to a friend for parts and scrap metal and go somewhere else to get a new one for next winter. In short: Useless machine and useless service. DO NOT PURCHASE!

Defective on arrival

I tried to look past the bad reviews... I've seen them all before only to really like the product. This snowblower wouldn't start. I could only get it to run on ether.

Quality control is non-existent. Trust the reviews and look elsewhere. I'll be getting an Ariens.

Terrible Investment-Carb Issues, Inconsistent Starts

|

I can say without reservation that this will be the last Craftsman-powered product I will buy. After purchasing a defective Craftsman chainsaw, I purchased this snow thrower with hope for a better product, but that is not what I got. I've had this snow blower for three years, and it's failed to start multiple times. I've had to replace the carburetor (which as I write this, needs to be replaced again), and it's had numerous tuneups, only to continue to yield failed starts. I would highly recommend going with another brand altogether, and certainly not to invest $600+ dollars into a Craftsman. In my opinion, Craftsman is good for hand tools, but that's where their quality ends. As a customer, I'm very disappointed.

Easy to use great machine

|

I bought this snowblower many years ago. I am a single female not technologically savvy at all. This is very easy to start (push button), and easy to drive, with minimal effort. It used to take me over 4 hours to snow blow my 280 foot driveway. With this machine, I can do it in about 2 1/2 hours. My driveway is too steep and curvy for snow plows so this works great. The only problem I have with it is the Joystick control, it broke within a month, but I can move and direct the chute by hand, and the second is the cheap plastic chute itself, but hey it works well enough.
