Easy to use and powerful, but bagging isn't great

The mower is shipped virtually fully assembled, save for the bag for clippings. It is easy to use: Charge and install the battery and push a button to turn the mower on. It starts quickly, is plenty powerful, cuts grass evenly and has no issue with mulching twigs or if small branches are in the way. I also used it to mow down overgrown brambles. The construction is a mixture of ABS plastic and lightweight aluminium and does appear solid. The battery is 300Wh (60V * 5Ah), which is significantly more than other mowers at this price range. The battery lasts long enough for our 0.3 acre lot. The price of the mower was attractive - after points and discounts it only cost only a little more than a new battery for an EGO mower! The main criticism is the bagging - it works, but a fair amount of clippings escape on the side. Instead I'm using the included mulching plug.

worst purchasing experience EVER

lawnmower doesn't work right out of the box - won't start. I call Sears and over the next 2 hours (not exaggerating; literally 2 hrs) I was transferred approximately 10 times. they claim they "can't find my order" so they can't help .... what??f! I have 4 emails about my order, purchase, tracking and delivery. I have an order # they say doesn't exist, a receipt # they say is from 2012, and they literally are unable to do anything. it's like I'm going to be stuck with a non-working lawnmower and a $400 debt to Sears on my Sears card. I have no idea how I'm going to fix this, but DON'T. BUY. SEARS.

Awesome

Got this lawn mower today after ordering from the Sears website for in store pick up. First thing it arrived on the exact date my order listed. Had bought the 60V Chainsaw then got the 60V Blower. The Blower is awesome. Haven't used the Chainsaw yet. So when i realized this mower could run off of the same 60V batteries it was a sale. Now the mower comes with a bigger 60V battery which i believe would hold a longer charge than the smaller 60V batteries that came with the Chainsaw and Blower. Well i used one of the smaller batteries which wasn't even charged all the way because i was in my blower and decided to mow the lawn. It lasted for most of my back yard without a full charge. That really impressed me. It's a pretty light mower so the mowing was quite easy for me. The fact this mower folds up makes for easy storage another selling part for me. There is a safety key and you have to press a button then pull back the handle bar to get it started so safety was in mind during this design. It's so easy to start and stop then restart that it made mowing super easy and fun. Having used the Black And Decker weed eater lawn mower deck combo all of last year to mow the back yard with many battery charges and changes i was hoping this would be faster and easier which it was many times over. So if you like using battery power over gas power like i do then this is a two thumbs up. Craftsman is Awesome. Thanks Sears.

Very Disappointing !!!

|

Bought it on Friday night,
unpacked it on Saturday morning, charged it per instructions, tried to start it three times, rechecked the charge on the battery,
RETURNED IT SUNDAY!!!
Have since found out you CANNOT BUY ANOTHER BATTERY!!!
You can’t reccomend what doesn’t work in the first place!!!
Even worse, the salesman wouldn’t let me exchange for the floor model that very well might have worked!!!
