For the reviewer who asked what sizes are included:
8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm, 13mm, 14mm, 16mm, 17mm, 18mm
It's a shame Sears as fallen so low in product support and interest and fallen so deep into shareholder/stakeholder/stockholder pockets. We CUSTOMERS need to know what the items we purchase include, how can you forget something so basic!? It's a shame I sm doing the SAME job they are paying someone to do....my interest is with the fellow DIY'er though, not lining my pockets.
These DO have a nice, nostalgic, vintage look and nice black vinish. Got these in the set w/ ratchet and sockets.
I wish I would have read the product description a little better before I bought these -- they just looked so great.... The missing 12mm and 15mm are a problem because they are two very common sizes. I do have these sizes in my older regular socket set, but obviously, they don't match this new set. Also, some caulk inadvertently got on them and irreversibly discolored the silver. My 30 yr old socket set is now in better shape than these, and has all the sizes.
I do however like the design - easy to read sizes, universal fit, and a machined easy grip area.
I bougjt these to go in my oh Sh@t drawer in case i need to beat one onto a stripped nut or boltbin hopes it will extract it.. I have taps and extractors and special sockets but sometimes a 5lb. Hammer and a good socket is all you need. Hopefully i never need these but just in case they are with my tap and dies and that stuff...with the points inside it should grab better than a 6 pt or 12 pt socket I hope at least.. Will update if I have a bad day and need to use these but for free its worth it to have them around.
replacing all my sets with this kind. works great on all types of hardware.
Ordered on June 6, 2018. No option to have delivered to my home address when ordered. Due to be delivered to the local store near me on July 5, 2018. 30 days to deliver??? Good thing I don't need this soon. Lousy way to do business. Don't worry, with this management team in place they are bound to stay in business for a lot of years to come. Nothing wrong with the product, but the process is terrible. From previous experience, I will contact Sears on July 5, 2018 only to find out that the order will not be filled due to the product not being available. I checked and the item I ordered is on the shelf at the delivery store. Who would have thunk it! I have used Craftsman for years. maybe it is time to move on. Don't worry, I know no one will read this in the management at Sears.Buyer beware when the owner (management) is not present in the store you are buying from.
