I built my own workbench 2 years ago. I've been looking for a chair/stool that sits around 32" high since then. Chairs like this one were averaging $100. When I saw this Craftsman for $49, I bought it immediately. I put it together with almost no effort and it is a solid chair. What's best is that the height adjusts to exactly what I was looking for.
Bought as a set, 2 stools and 1 table. within 3 months one of the chairs hydraulic cylinder failed, cheaper to buy a whole stool rather than a new cylinder. 2nd cylinder failed within a year, have one stool and one table remaining. If the cylinder fails and you swivel the stool, the backrest turns the table and anything on it over and to the floor
I bought one about 20 years ago. Still have it. It’s picked up some rust and has a deflated seat cushion. I just replaced it with a brand new one. It’s identical, but minus the wear and tear of 20 years. Love it!
Quite easy assembly, durable construction material and exceptional price after redeeming cash points. Stool arrived ahead of estimated delivery date. Stool accentuates my craftsman workbench and toolbox. Assembly instructions were a bit dodgy to follow yet; flowed more easily once I was able to figure out certain pieces and screw fasteners.
