Review as of 10/20/2014: Be aware, SKU/Model # 16496 is the previous model which has the full QuickBoost Lithium Ion Charger (Model# CMC20CBST) included ($119.99). SKU/Model # 46133 is the 2014 newer version and does NOT have the full size charger (a smaller, more portable, NON quick charging adapter), BUT it does include the LED light at the base of the drill, next to the bit holder ($99.99). Furthermore, the newer model (as noted on the box) has an improved performance of 35% more power. I originally bought the previous model (10/11) and was quite pleased with the quality and performance from the 20V* motor (*18V operating performance, 20V resting). After reviewing the other Bolt-On Attachments, I noticed some unique pictures from the main craftsman.com webpage that had the additional LED light. A week and a half ago, there was not mention of the newer model either on the craftsman.com website OR Sears.com site, so I thought it was a conceptual image mistake that was incorrectly posted. Several associates at several Sears stores were also unaware of any newer model. Over the coarse of the week, I monitored and search various sites for any info. Sure enough, this last weekend (10/19), the newer model finally hit the website(s) and stores. I immediately exchanged models as the LED light was a much needed addition (as noted on several website reviews and video blogs). Unfortunately, I was disappointed that it did not come with the full size charger--thus explains the original price-point difference as noted above. All-in-all, you sacrifice the 10 min, 30% capacity quick charge capabilities for the LED light. If the compact charging adapter charges just as fast as the full size one (1hr), than the newer model is the one for you. Perfect for the weekend project warrior that does not need sustained usage. As noted earlier, the smaller charger makes it more convenient for toting around with the rest of the Bolt-On package. To date, I purchased the Multi-Tool (highly recommended), Trim Saw (to be tested), and the 18" storage bag. I also returned an extra battery as a 1 hr charge was fast enough for my needs.
Very weak, drills thru soft items like drywall, pine 3/4" board it struggles stalls and going thru a 2 x 4. Using it to drive screws is a joke, it stalls after an 1/8 inch at any setting including max (10). Bought both the drill and the big battery....drill sucks, batteries are great. I am returning mine.
Love that I don't waste space with the basic motor/battery of multiple tools. Bought a second one for back up. It's not effective on hard jobs like going through concrete or metal, but I don't own any other battery drill that does that either.
Great drool. Super fast change over
Versatile. Powerful. Great Value
This tool was pretty awesome. I was able to demo and build most of my kitchen with this one tool and its attachments. The only down side I can see on this tool is the original battery drains fast the power output is mediocre. Overall this is definitely recommended
This tool is great. Only drawback is with regards to battery. It dies pretty quick. I think it should have little more which at least support 30min of work. Otherwise this tool is worth to purchase due to availability of different attachments(Jigsaw, circular saw, inflator, impact, sander etc) I have almost 80% of attachment and very happy that one single tool can turn into a tool of need while working.
