Craftsman Brake Spring Pliers

An absolute must if you own a car with drum brakes! I have owned many classic cars and the most recent is my 1972 Chevy El Camino. I got the car from my dad and before he passed on he told me that he had planned on replacing the rear brak shoes since it had been a while since he last did any brake work.

I once had a pair of these pliers when I was active in restoring Mustangs but when the time came for this brake job those pliers were nowhere to be found. Too bad, too, I really liked them. At any rate, I had to buy this pair and I'm happy to say that the quality hasn't changed a bit since I bought that last pair!

There was one slight difference I noted in the new Craftsman pair over the older pair and that was that they fit the spring retainer just a wee better than before. On the old pair the retainer cap removal portion of the tool was a bit undersized which meant that they never really seated themselves over the retainer, just more or less pushed on it.

Anyways, these are a welcome addition to my tool chest once again!
