I got the Craftsman bottle opener that has the screwdriver handle a few years ago and so when I saw this one, I had to get it too. It is a nice solid and heavy tool. Inside the round part are two small ridges that can be used to open bottles with ease. The handle has some weight, so there is some nice leverage in opening those bottles with ease. I would recommend getting one! Or perhaps three – after all, do you really want to run down to the basement, garage or shed when you need it?
Great product, but arrived with rusty/dirty heads. I had previously bought one at a Sears store and had no issues with that one. Then, I decided to buy 5 more as Christmas presents when I found them on sale online. Unfortunately, the received openers looked like they were exposed to the elements (see pictures). Quite a bit disappointed since these were supposed to be presents. I called the customer support and they suggested to return them for a refund and to re-order new ones. When I asked how Sears would ensure that the new ones would not be dirty/rusty the support rep did not really have an answer. Bummer... Since I didn't want to spend the effort and time on a return process which would potentially end up in the same result, I ended up keeping them, hoping that I could scrub them clean and coat with paste wax to prevent new oxidation/rust. So far they look alright.
I’m posting this cause it’s that cool of a product, it does just what it claims it does. It’s a cool bottle opener and a must have for anyone who likes to tinker in the garage. It’s a cool gift for someone who has everything. Everyone always comments on it and says it’s totally me.
