Innovative Folding MechanismExtra Wide Comfort HandlesCr-Mo Steel Cutting HeadFit into Craftsman box 35112
This little bolt cutter is quite handy, small enough to fold up in put in a little tool bag but still strong enough to get the job done.Well worth the price.
I bought this online as soon as I saw Sears was selling brand new Craftsman folding bolt cutters. When I received my order, I was VERY disappointed. The cutting jaws were overlapping, and one of the handle lock levers wasn't working properly. I thought the jaw alignment issue would be easy to solve - but, amazingly, these bolt cutters lack a critical feature - eccentric jaw adjustment bolts. Instead, there are just two regular round head bolts, exactly what is shown in the image. There is no way to alight or adjust the jaws, either when new or if you want to sharpen them later. The Toughbuilt and Olympia versions of these folding bolt cutters have the adjustment bolts, so it would seem that Sears tried to save money in a crazy way - by doing away with adjustment bolts entirely. I suspect a great many people who buy these are going to be very disappointed, if not when they receive the product, then when they go to use it. I do hope Sears fixes this issue and starts putting the eccentric bolts on the cutters, along with either replacing the current tools or sending out a adjustment bolt kit. Right now the tool I have isn't very useful for cutting anything.
Haven’t used this yet. Very compact. Easy to carry, since the handles fold then lock in place for use. My points made the price right. Had it shipped, and it arrived timely. Seems to be well made for the size. Probably great for small bolts, not so sure about locks.
