I'm very satisfied with all of the features. Great construction and features for a stand in this price category. Expect to pay nearly double for a brand name that has as much to offer and is as sturdy. I was a bit hesitant to purchase after reading some negative reviews. Checked it out in the store and decided to go for it because Craftsman has always stood behind their products for me. One word of caution. Like anything new, spend a few minutes reading the owners manual and get familiar with the product before jumping in an attempting the few steps of assembly. The locking handles are not flimsy and do not break it you take the time to adjust them properly BEFORE trying to lock the saw down. Not adjusting the handles and then using brute force to lock the handles and yes, they may break. This is a bit of a double edge sword. The locking handles on my stand came from the factory where they fit really tight. I suspect that is to force us to adjust the handles to the stand. If they came from the factory too loose and we didn't take the time to adjust them properly the saw could fall off and someone might get hurt. Adjusted properly the handles lock the saw to the stand and click into place with little to no effort. If you are feeling a lot of resistance... stop... adjust the stop and try again... that way you won't break the handles and you won't need to go through the aggravation of ordering replacement parts.
I bought this the stand for my Kobalt 10in sliding Miter-saw tried to mount it on the stand and as I put the slightest pressure on the locking lever it snapped. I took it back only to have the same thing happen with the replacement. I made sure I was very careful and it just snapped again. I think craftsman used the flimsiest plastic they could find to make the locking lever.
Ease to assemble - works well with my miter-saw - very portable - folds up nicely for storage
I used this to replace a 20+ year old miter saw stand. The switched dual power outlet is nice, used it to switch on my shop vac for dust collection when cutting. This switch did stop working after about a year, so i just removed it. Thus -1 star.
Saw mount is bulky, but useful.
Solid Craftsman construction design. Easy to assemble and disassemble
Over all I like this stand because of the simple assembly, it's very sturdy but slightly awkward to maneuver and stage. I've only used it twice but it holds my HItachi 10" single bevel miter saw while its stored.
put together easily, seems study, only used a few times but so far it's a good purchase.
