Great stand, loaded with features

I'm very satisfied with all of the features. Great construction and features for a stand in this price category. Expect to pay nearly double for a brand name that has as much to offer and is as sturdy. I was a bit hesitant to purchase after reading some negative reviews. Checked it out in the store and decided to go for it because Craftsman has always stood behind their products for me. One word of caution. Like anything new, spend a few minutes reading the owners manual and get familiar with the product before jumping in an attempting the few steps of assembly. The locking handles are not flimsy and do not break it you take the time to adjust them properly BEFORE trying to lock the saw down. Not adjusting the handles and then using brute force to lock the handles and yes, they may break. This is a bit of a double edge sword. The locking handles on my stand came from the factory where they fit really tight. I suspect that is to force us to adjust the handles to the stand. If they came from the factory too loose and we didn't take the time to adjust them properly the saw could fall off and someone might get hurt. Adjusted properly the handles lock the saw to the stand and click into place with little to no effort. If you are feeling a lot of resistance... stop... adjust the stop and try again... that way you won't break the handles and you won't need to go through the aggravation of ordering replacement parts.

Quality is Questionable

The unit, itself is okay for the price. There are, however a number of issues with the quality, and construction. The Legs are not sturdy and there is no way to effectively tighten them. Thus, the unit will wobble when working. The second gripe I have is the mounting hardware for the miter saw. The hardware is garbage. The material is cheap metal and the screws strip very easily. I had to purchase additional replacement bolts from the hardware store to successfully attach a Craftsman miter saw. Craftsman is supposed to be a quality brand, but when they pull this, it makes me reconsider purchasing Craftsman anything in the future.

Heavy and solid construction.

Mount did not line up properly with my Ridgid miter saw. Had to modify a little. Very sturdy construction. Rolls easily with saw installed.
