I really needed this saw. It's been a life saver. It cuts very smoothly and lets me cut limbs of maximum size. I would highly recommend this saw .
I usually buy Corona or Fiskars razor pruning saws. This saw was on sale so I thought I would give it a try. A Craftsman should be at least comparable. right? Today I trimmed several small trees with the brand new saw. What a disappointment. This thing does not perform as well as three year old, heavily used saws from Corona or Fiskars. The teeth are so large it is difficult to start a cut and when it does it tends to clog. Overall poor design when compared to other saws. Not even worth the sale price.
This product is worth spending money on. It cuts smoothly and gets the job done. The handle of the saw is well made and allows you to to have control of the saw because of its shape.
For new user. Start very lightly press against the wood that you cut, gradually increase your pressure. You will love it.
Went great
Used it to limb trees 30ft up, a lot easier then backing chain saw. Works quick and efficiently, cuts are clean and good looking,
Our old saw had finally its blade worn beyond repair. We saw this saw at Sears and thought that it looked o.k.., except that the handle was different than any that we had used before. It works out that this handle is what makes the saw really good. The shape allows better control of the saw and seems to give more leverage.
