I bought this for my husband as a gift and he just loves it! He really likes the easy slide that allows for it to be adjusted and it still stays in place. Great tool for any tool box he says.
When I asked about the wrench at Sears, I was impressed with the sales person knowledge. However, the display wrench was broken! A bad sign! The wrench was impressive at the store but in real world application, difficult to use and the price was ridiculous. I had a tight spot to get too. The wrench was hard to use when adjusting on the nut . I grabbed my old crescent wrench and had to finish the job. My grandfather and father are Craftsman believers! I am telling my kids to shop around before considering Craftsman tools because the quality has degraded over the years.
The design of this adjustable wrench allows me to tighten and loosen nuts a lot faster than using other wrenches. The heft of this wrench is substantial and pleasing.
It is the best adjustable wrench I have ever used. It is well built and adjust it with a thumb.
Wrench has been marketed and advertised as ground breaking. But practically its of poor quality, started rusting and adjustment handle jams. Not smooth to work.
Ordered this wrench off Sears website end of November 2018. Due to 3 medical procedures (surgeries) since ordering this wrench, I wasn't able to open it until March 2019. I found that since the gears were not line up properly, the wrench will only open half-way. Took it to the Sears store and was told since it was over 30 days old, they couldn't help me even though I have original paperwork and packaging and it had obviously not been used. So sad to see Craftsman tools coming out of China. I didn't know this and stocked a new tool box with mail order Craftsman tools. Thought I was getting a good deal, but all these tools are ****. Don't be fooled by all their e-mails saying 50% off like I was. Even at that so-called discount, they're not worth what I paid for them.
Glad I stocked up on many Craftsman tools back when they were made here in the U.S. Good bye Sears...never again!
