I bought these boots for the muddy spring weather when I'm trout fishing. They have surpassed my expectations. They are insulated and keep your feet warm and dry. Several times now I have stood in icy creek water to just below the lace for hours at a time wearing only ankle socks and my feet have never got cold. I still have a thick pair of wool socks in the trunk of my car that I have never had to put on. I like these boots so well that I bought a pair for my adult son to use for the same reason. Fishing. He also swears by them ! Don't buy a size bigger just for thick socks. You won't need them. I bought my regular boot size and the fit is great.
I recently received a pair of Craftsman waterproof PVC boot. The material from which the boots are made is very tough and not flexible. It is quite hard to walk around in these boots.
These are really well made boots. The tread is aggressive. The liner is 18% wool. Very comfortable walking.
They are the best weather booys
