This is the second impact driver I purchased. The first is 5 years old and still going strong. The 2nd was purchased to keep in my shed work area to eliminate the back and forth to my work shop. The Nextec 12 volt set hasn't let me down.
I bought this drill to use for little things at the dealership i work at it is a nice weight and charges quick although the quick release sticks often and leaks grease. One of the ball bearings inside the release became stuck and ended up leaving the drive crooked; sears replaced it after a runaround, now i'm having the same issue with the replacement
I have owned my Nextec 12v impact driver for 5 years and not once has it ever failed. I dropped the unit several times and was worried that something would have to it later on. But, it still works. The impact driver is very durable and performs very well for everyday household tasks. I've put together a large shed and it gave me the power I needed to drill screws. The impact driver handles heavy duty work but not for long period of use; Short burst is better used. I may add that the lithium battery performance is a 5 star to me and the price point is very competitive.
This was a gift so I could have a smaller back up drill and its been quite useful. I have a matching drill bit and driver set as well and find myself using this one first. Easier bit replacement system and really handy when working on projects with multiple drilling and driver sizes. It has a fair amount of torque for its size.
Feeling like I got screwed over on 2 drills and a battery.. I never picked them up and it says I did I requested a refund and they didn’t refund me.. they’re good drills if you actually get them but I didn’t get them or my money back? Come on sears.. figure it out
