One of the Better Craftsman units

Hi all. Bought this with the matching bottom. Very good 41" unit. A little small for my needs. My only Disappointments are: How it attaches to the Bottom unit. using 2 flat brackets screwed from behind the unit. I would prefer an Internal mounting system like on the older boxes. And the Power Strip. Wish it was Easier Service for when it needs to be replaced. Instead of having to drill numerous rivots. Does come with Mat and Liners. Drawers will hold weight. Wished a larger version was offered. And made in China. But the Quality seems very good.

Fraudulent Practices From a Soon to be Bankrupt Company

This was a scam. Offered $600 in My Reward Points, never received. Lied on the phone. Would not let me finish a sentence. Could not get a word in with the ignorant phone rep. This company deserves to be out of business. Simply horrible, lying experience, with rude, ignorant representative. Refused to transfer me to a supervisor. Hung up on me when I insisted.

Very well made tool box

|

This is a 400 series stainless box so it is magnetic - good news for fans of magnetic drawer labels. While 400 stainless is not as corrosion resistant as 300, it will generally take more abuse before showing it. The construction is top notch for a box in the sub $1500 category which makes this box a very good deal. You can pay a lot more for other boxes, but you will not get much more. I say that as a 10 plus year Snap-On tool box owner. These boxes are made by Viper and they offer very good customer support - I suggest you go to them if you need assistance not available through Sears.

The matching bottom box is just as well made and highly recommended. Unfortunately, they are very hard to find and seem to be unavailable. Some stores have them on display and the display model I found was not listed online or in the store as 'available' (possibly because it had additional labels used for floor advertising - they were a pain to remove). I suggest you call around to try and locate one. It is worth the effort!

Poor Quality, Not Worth The Price, Big Disappointment.

|

From having bought over a dozen different tool boxes for my business, this recent Craftsman Pro Series Stainless box was a big disappointment. The outside stainless metal on the bottom is very weak and was bent in both the front and back upon purchasing it. There is no side handles, which makes it difficult to move around or lift. The welds on the bottom of the box are very poorly done and the rivets are missing, leaving holes. The box in my opinion is over-rated and not worth the price. The stainless looks nice, but it does scratch very easy because of the clearcoat. The plastic white film should've been removed prior to installing because in some places, the film is attached permenant between the metal where it won't come off. The top lid opens too high and is difficult to close because of the height.
I would not recommend this box in a place where it will be handled a lot, because it will not hold up. The metal will dent very easy.
