Great Mower

Plenty of power, sharp turn radius. The only issue are the headlamps bulbs burn out after washing.Poor sealing on the headlamps. Other than that its a great mower.

just okay

The tractor runs okay. After 2 years a pulley broke. The service guy did not have the part and it took over 10 days to get the new pulley!!! Then, a second part was not ordered and took another 3 days! Service is awful!!!!!!! Just be prepared if it breaks down... and it will!!!!!!

Sears Tractors Have Gone Downhill

|

I bought a Craftsman garden tractor in the early 90's. It has been a GREAT tractor, and I have never had any major problems with it even though I have treated it pretty roughly (I mow almost 3 acres of lawn and areas in the woods). I am thinking about getting a new tractor, but after reading some of the reviews, I now think I will have to look elsewhere. Craftsman products have gone downhill to a large extent, and I have been burned on a couple of appliances. I recently ordered a new seat for my old tractor, and they sent me the wrong one. Took three weeks to get a reimbursement. I have been a Craftsman customer for many years, but it is getting to the point now that I am leery of buying equipment from Sears. They might not be in business long enough to honor their warranty. It is really sad.

Don?t trust it

I already have a review on this mower with the same screen name but Sears won?t allow an edit. Imagine that. ?I have 18.5 hrs on this mower, well less than a year old, and it already will not start. ?And it?s not the battery. Warranty fix right? ?Nope. Although they will send a part they ?think? will solve the problem, Sears will NOT send out anybody for a warranty repair. ?Could be the solenoid, could be the starter motor?. ?Good luck?. ? I was told the warranty is a ?very limited? warranty. Even the Sears employee at the vehicle service shop, where I took the battery to double check it, thought it was poor customer service to not send someone out to repair this new mower. ?My point is, if you?re someone that expects great customer service, buy a different brand mower somewhere else

Has lived up yo my expectation

|

Finally replaced my 25+ year old rider. My old one had a 38" deck and took about 2 hours to do my yard. This new one with the 54" deck has cut about 30-45 minutes from my mowing time. Has plenty of power to do the job. With the tight turn capability this is the closest to a zero turn rider without being an actual zero turn. Love the hour meter and the Bluetooth app. Changing oil should be a snap with the drain plug being easy to get to. If I had a complaint it would be the noise. My old mower had a small water cooled engine and was quieter, but if this turns out to be my only complaint, I can live with that.
