I have been using Stihl exclusively since 1988--that is, until my Farmboss 290 croaked. On the advice of a mechanic friend, I bought the Sears Craftsman pro-series 20". This high-powered chainsaw is simpler to use than the Stihl, and somewhat more powerful. The mechanic himself prefers the Husky to the Stihl, and my first experience says he is right.
Since buying this chainsaw, it has performed poorly: After about 10 - 15 minutes of use, the chain stops being lubricated resulting in it's inability to cut wood. I brought it in for service under warranty and it was cleaned. However after about 10 minutes of use, the chain stopped being lubricated again. I tried cleaning it as described on pages 15 and 16 of the manual but it still wasn't lubricating the chain. So now I will be bringing it in for service a 2nd time. Now I will be bringing it in for service again.
Great all around saw with good warranty.
Love it easy start every time
