Wish I could remember where I read the "great" reviews

|

I researched before buying this mower. I wish I could remember where I read those great reviews so I could go back and tell them how wrong they were. Self-Propelled is difficult to manage, mulching is poor and starts cloging up blade after one short pass, wheels don't maneuver well, & difficult to change cutting height.

Do Not Buy

This is the worst machine I have ever purchased. I have the wheel height settings on their tallest settings and the machine still functions horribly. The engine bogs down because the "mulching" function doesn't actually chop the grass into fine pieces allowing it to exit the deck. Because the engine continuously bogs down, to cut my .4 of an acre, I use two full tanks of gas. The grass remains as a paste trail through my yard, killing the lush lawn that I still have. This is also a very heavy machine that isn't balanced properly. On any grade, like your curb, the machine wants to tip over. There is nothing that this machine does well. I had hopes with the casters that I could use this machine to safely and easily teach my son to mow the lawn, but with the weight, balance, and performance issues, I'll keep myself in harms way instead of him, or just replace it with something not craftsman because sears offers literally no customer service help (I've tried) and eat the cost; its that bad
