Overall, I like this router and router table combo. It has the fences that I wanted in order to repeatable edge routing. It is heavy enough to be used on small pieces without permanently mounting it to a bench. The router, itself, is strong enough to cut 3/4" dados in solid maple (the specific task I used to justify buying it). It is not perfect, though. The collar around the bit sits lower than the table surface ... this tends to cause the wood that I am routing to catch a bit as I push it along the fence. Depending on the bit that you are using, this could be a significant issue. I also found that without a shop vac attached to the discharge tube, shavings tend to collect and clog the tube. I also had some issues with the shavings burning (but, to be fair, that may be more a function of the hard wood that I am using and the quality of my router bits). On the positive side, I like the extra outlet attached to the on/off switch on the table. This allowed me to clamp and use a work light on the table.
Tried using router and it would not turn on. So I started going through the instruction manual. Found out the book had been highlighted by someone. And the the bushing where bad . And this is supposed to be brand new.
I never got it to purchase was discontinued keep getting this email Sears is out of business
