It does a great job of holding any pencil style soldering iron I own. Not for holding pistol style irons. The sponge location is great, makes it easy to clean the tips of my soldering irons. The only wish being that maybe the front had a little scallop in it exposing just a little bit more of the sponge.

A must-have for standard soldering irons
|Sure beats the danger of using an ashtray, etc. My Weller 60 W likes the fit. Good weighting and ergonomic design, although when time to replace the sponge a thicker one should help elevate the wiping plane for an easier swipe. I never saw it on sale during the time I was watching but that's still a good price for what you get, and it looks well made to boot. Made in Taiwan but I don't find that unusual for this type of product. Product page states "Guaranteed forever" although there's nothing on the packaging, but since it is Craftsman (hand tool?) that should be the case.
