Swivel Jaw Hose Plier

The reason I purchase this item for one. I was looking for it and two It was the one pair made in the USA! I will not buy China tools Craftsman! It matters to the people that have to use it day in and day out. Listen to the customer and not the stock holders.

I have to say this is the first time I have ever been disappointed with a tool that had a Craftsman name on it. It totally fell apart on the 2nd hose clamp I was trying to remove. Very frustrating when you buy a specific tool to make things easier, and wind up having to use normal pliers instead.

Broke the 2nd time I used it for a water pump replacement and couldn't even finish the job.

Hose clamp plier failure ...

Purchase in-store for less than $7 and was encouraged by the fact that it is American made. Unfortunately, the tool failed during first use! The rotating jaws are secured to the pliers by C clips that are weak and paper thin. The first use will practically guarantee failure as the clips fall off and the jaws fall out of the pliers. Returned to Sears to see if they could provide beefier C clips but they could not. Unless you have spare clips to replace the ones that come with this ... be prepared for disappointment. I found the jaw that fell out of my pliers. If yours fails and you cannot find the jaw ... this is a one-time use tool.

Spring Clamp Plier

This Craftsman Swivel Jaw Hose Clamp Plier is an essential tool when needing to remove or install Spring Type Hose Clamps. Whether the spring clamp is small or reasonably large, this plier with it's swivel jaw will get into almost any possible spot as to get the job done. Plus the ratcheting mechanism will hold the pressure on the spring. clamp while removing or installing it. No more slipping or bending, as with a slip joint plier. Add this to your tool arsenal and you will definitely be glad that you did the very next time you come across a spring type hose clamp.
