A Custom Grind
i was shopping for stone mortar and pestles to use for grinding spices and seeds, but there were so many complexities involved in the type of material used for them and what of it was being ground into the food that I was concerned. This Cuisinart coffee bean grinder is a blade type grinder that works wonderfully and quickly as a spice grinder. I can pulse tthe grinder to achieve the fineness just the way I want it. It is easily wiped clean. Exactly what I needed.
I bought the Cuisinart coffee grinder when my Krups finally gave out after many years of daily use. The Cuisinart has a curved shape on the side which looks good on the counter top, but makes it difficult to grab to pour the grinds into the coffee maker. Although it says it is large capacity, the motor runs but grinder doesn't grind the beans when the cup is filled to capacity. So, I had to grind 3-4 smaller batches of coffee beans. The grinder is quiet when using small batches - that's a plus. But, the cup is also messy and spills the grinds all over the counter when you lift the lid. Just four days after using it, the motor gave out. I don't recommend this product at all. I plan to get another Krups or a burr mill this time.
Easy to use and clean. Smaller size makes it easy to store.
Easy to use and clean; makes it easy to have flavorful coffee from freshly ground beans.
Grinder works as expected. The cap doesn’t hold much coffee. Cannot grind the coffee, flip it over into the lid and use the lid to pour the ground coffee into the filter of coffee pot. I also should have read the description more throughly. My Cuisinart coffee pot is a 14 cup ... but this grinder is only up to 12 cups.
The feet on the bottom makes marks on a laminate countertop
Honestly, this is probably the best kitchen appliance I have owned to date. I have a LOT of appliances since I love to cook and bake. Needless, my last one lasted well over twelve years. Hope the same lifespan the second time around. I use the grinder also for pumpkin seeds for my dog.
