i was shopping for stone mortar and pestles to use for grinding spices and seeds, but there were so many complexities involved in the type of material used for them and what of it was being ground into the food that I was concerned. This Cuisinart coffee bean grinder is a blade type grinder that works wonderfully and quickly as a spice grinder. I can pulse tthe grinder to achieve the fineness just the way I want it. It is easily wiped clean. Exactly what I needed.
I bought the Cuisinart coffee grinder when my Krups finally gave out after many years of daily use. The Cuisinart has a curved shape on the side which looks good on the counter top, but makes it difficult to grab to pour the grinds into the coffee maker. Although it says it is large capacity, the motor runs but grinder doesn't grind the beans when the cup is filled to capacity. So, I had to grind 3-4 smaller batches of coffee beans. The grinder is quiet when using small batches - that's a plus. But, the cup is also messy and spills the grinds all over the counter when you lift the lid. Just four days after using it, the motor gave out. I don't recommend this product at all. I plan to get another Krups or a burr mill this time.
This grinder is easy to use and produces excellent results. Easy to clean out and takes up little room. I’ve owned several other brands and this Cuisinart out performs all of them at a comparable price.
It works well but it grinds a very small amount at a time
Great for everyday use. Get fresh grinded coffee . Would recommend it for single serve user
I love the ease of use. Once the lid is on, the button to grind is on top of the lid and very easy to press and/or hold.
