Have one of these for a year now. Works great. Lots of room, fits 6 pieces of toast easily. Bought this one as a gift. Recipient also loves it. Looks good on the counter, heats up fast and works great.
I received this as a gift and tried toasting some bread. The toast does not slide off the rack, instead the large front cross bar of the rack is in the way. It is pointless having a toaster that you need to reach in and lift hot toast out over a bar. My last toaster oven worked great as the toast just slides out on the plate. The rack is made incorrectly and not like the picture. The small grate wires that the bread rests on are below the cross bars. Hence you need a fork or something to get the toast out past the front bar. The cross bar is in the down position as required for toasting (also like the picture), but the wires are not like the picture. I called Cuisinart about this and they said the grate I had was correct and the picture is wrong. They said all the TOB-40 toaster ovens are this way. They did not understand that all grates are made with the small wires on the top side of the large wire frame. They were extremely not helpful. Be advised that this is a major inconvenience - one that makes the primary function of the toaster difficult. This item is being returned.
I was very excited to open this only to be let down and it was not only already opened but used and poorly cleaned . Apparently Someone else bought the product used it tried to clean it and returned it. Which wouldn’t have been a problem because they take care of the customers and return unwanted items however I was the recipient of that unwanted items
It came in a box well packed and the baking sheet is a nice touch. I recommend this product for anyone looking for a great toaster.
Bottom line is that I did not receive a notice of when I would be able to pick up the oven at the Sears store I chose for the pick up here locally in Hialeah until about 11 days after I made the purchase! By that time I had made plans to spend the Christmas Holidays with my family in a second home I have in South Carolina. I did reach out to one of your Customer Service Repa and they indicated to me that I should contact the merchandise pick up dept at that store so I tried to call them and I have tried to call several times and nobody answers, my last resort will be to go there physically to see if they can hold the item until I return from my trip, because the SYW rep said that the pu should be done by 12/18/2018 and I will not be here locally to be able to pick the item up because of my trio!
