I absolutely fell in love with this crib when I saw it. My husband and I put it on layaway, paid it off, then it sat waiting for our son. We finally assembled it last night and while the crib is still beautiful, there are some issues with the quality of materials used. The side of the crib that borders the changer is made of cheap particle board that makes a horrible and loud noise when kids inevitably hit it. The drawer assembly was a nightmare. First, two of the drawer sides had the slides installed on the wrong side. It was a simple enough and quick enough fix to take out the 4 screws holding it on and flip it around. It was slightly difficult to screw back in without guide holes, but it worked. Finally, after the assembly of the drawers, which was the last thing in the book, I put them in the unit and.....THEY DON'T FIT. Each drawer sits out approximately 1 inch from being flush with the unit.
When I was pregnant my husband and I fell in love with the look of the crib. We went through **** to find it in a Kmart in Louisville and only one had it and we were so happy I cried. Then we got home to build it... horrible. There were pieces that did not fit together the way they should have. Most pieces had to be sanded down and the side of the changer that connects to the crib didn't have the holes for the posts in the right place so we had to make some. We also had to make a hole for the **** to go on the hamper since they didn't bother to put one. Not only that but the wood itself is aweful quality. It's been 9 months since we've had the crib and the front of the changer is scratched and if my son teeths on it the finish comes off so we had to put teething covers on. And if you think the assembly was a nightmare? Wait until you have to lower it. The box spring can only go so far and it tells you not to allow the metal posts to go above the springs but you have to do it in order for it to be low enough. If we had left the crib on the lowest screw hole they leave for you then my son would have fallen out. The crib railing was at his waistline and he's only 9 months. On another note the changing pad is really thin. We tried to use a cover on it but it was too big for the pad and when we tried to buckle him into the changer the straps came off and there's no way of putting them back on and the changer itself is too small to get another pad for it. All in all it's beautiful but just bhai ot worth the money. If we hadn't put it together and spent so much time on it we would have returned it.
This was offered at an amazing price. The quality of the crib was wonderful and having the option to use it after as a daybed or headboard was a no-brainer.
This is a nice crib. It is sturdy and does the job. The drawers are nice but the changing table is small and an odd size. You cannot find another pad to fit it so you are stuck with the one that comes with it.
My husband and I were so excited to find a crib/changing table in one & the fact that we got it on sale & saved over $100 was even better! It took us a little over 3 hours to put together. Some of the directions skipped steps & weren't exactly crystal clear of what you were supposed to do. Also a few of the pieces didn't have screw holes where the screws were clearly supposed to go. Over all we are really pleased, it's a beautiful crib & a very pretty color!
Well I bought this crib online picked up in store, let me say the store has horrible customer service ended up waiting an hour for nothing.
Anyways we took it home and set it up the next day, ALMOST EVERYTHING was messed up, nothing lined up right at all! It was very frustrating for me.
I expected some things not to be correct because of reviews but I did not expect almost everything to be messed up, including the wheels on the hamper.
The cribs bottom would not go into the top hole so I had to put it In a different one. Nothing fit correctly. We read and followed the directions very carefully as I know these things can be confusing.
I guess you get what you pay for but for a newborn I feel it's a little unsafe considering the fact nothing fit.
Will be returning and purchase something else. But it is a very nice looking crib on the bright side and I would've loved to actually use it.
This is a very nice crib. The only downside is the changing table, it will only go on the same side of the crib as pictured and it was a little difficult to put together.
