I have been a huge dewalt fan for some time and I think the 20 volt ion tools are the best cordless tools out there. I did a lot of research in trying to figure out if I should buy the new brushless motor driver or save a few bucks and get the older model. I decided to save the money and regret it for a few reasons. First the batteries. I thought all the new 1.5 mha batteries had the fuel gauge in them. Not the case, apparently only the new model ones do. Neither of mine had it. The second thing was the release button for the bit. It's only on the brushless model. The older model you need to slip the collar when the bit goes in forward in order to release the bit. The new model has a button just above the trigger to release the bit. From looking at the pictures it appears that there is a button. Finally the brushless model has speed selector like dewalts drill. The older model only has a variable speed trigger. If none of these features matter to you then save your money and you will still be getting a solid impact driver. If your like me and want those features then spend the extra money and get the brushless motor tool.
fail me! big dissappoint. Test from store very powerful happy with it. purchase got home open box there is it. charge the battery plug in. oh my god, smell burning and can't even screw nail into 2x4. Got stuck half way in. try again the same things. this is not what i expect from $300.00 product. Luckly the store i just purchase today and return tomorrow.
Awesome power in a compact size!!!! Love using, lightweight!!!
Strong dependable tools. Great power for the money.
this things a powerhouse!!! i use it as a 3/8s impact lol and it does amazing it really does shock me how strong this and since there arent any brushes to wear out theres virtually no maintenance, i definitely recommend oiling the anvil n motor bearings itll just help your tool last forever, not that i ever had a problem with that. its not really practical for normal framing although its plenty strong and fast enough, its just sooo loud even with ear plugs its obnoxious
Handy little tool with all the power I need.
My name is Joandee and I was building a 16' X 8' deck and needed this tool to sink my screws for my OSB wood. And it worked great love it. I also have the DeWalt Drill that is also a great product.
