i bought this battery for my husband he loves it
I do not recommend using the Engine Starter feature on this unit. After reading the User Manual five times front to back, I used the Engine Starter to start my 2010 compact car. The car DID start. But my PCM was fried. There was no user error (e.g. cables crossed). After more research online, I discovered that it is recommended to ALWAYS disconnect the battery cables while charging a battery in the engine compartment, to prevent ANY possibility of damaging the car's computer. Of course, this is impossible to do when using the Engine Starter feature. Again, I do not recommend using the Engine Starter feature - it fried my car's computer, cost $1000 to replace, and left me without transportation for 6 weeks.
Really needs the meter. Step up to the 250 or higher.. 40 amp quick charge works well but don’t like not knowing how far along the full charge is.
Reasonably priced, 6/12 volt charging with fast charge and boost start. Fairly compact and works well.
Works well, haven't had any issues frying computers. It's great for charging, jump starting, or for use as a neverending battery when troubleshooting or testing vehicle electrical systems. It's extremely simple to use, not a whole lot of pointless settings to get muddied up in; it doesn't try to look like more than it is.
It's also relatively lightweight, so lugging it out that awful, frigid morning when a certain unnamable someone left the headlights on overnight isn't as bad as might be expected.
When charger was delivered it was in the original box and was totally opened.
