This boot is amazingly comfortable & durable! I've been an auto tech for over 37 years, & my feet hurt all the time. Since trying these boots, the pain has gone from a strong 8+ to a much milder 2.5 or so- & that's better than I was hoping for. Don't waste money on higher priced boots when you can buy the BEST boots for a great price. I've only worn these boots for about 2 months, but they seem to be even more comfortable than before. No brake-in time required & I may have finally found work boots I can wear for more than 3 months. I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!!
This style of boot was (until recently) well made. Unfortunately, it seems to have been substituted with an inferior look-alike. This was additionally unfortunate for me because I had purchased several pairs of these (on sale) thinking that they were their more durable predecessors. One can recognize some of these newer items by the absence of the word "Duty" under the "DieHard" logos found about the shoe, or one can simply wear the shoe for a few months after which the following symptoms may be observed: De-lamination of cosmetic surfaces meant to look like finished leather. Catastrophic separation of the sole and upper. Separation of insole. So... I don't recommend the purchase of these shoes to any one. P.S. If you already have a pair or two, please don't give them to the poor and needy. You won't be doing them any favors.
If you are purchasing these boots wait for them to go on sale ($35) would not pay more. Also, I would highly recommend buying insoles as the ones included are paper thin and provide no support.I purchased these boots when I started as a lube tech as I am required to wear oil resistant boots. I found the boot soles to wear out quickly and to not be very oil resistant. I went trough two pairs in one year before my coworkers recommended buying a different brand boot. I do walk alot but the wear seams excesive.
