My old Diehard battery lasted a few months shy of 10 years. So when it came time to replace it, there was no doubt that I would replace it with another Diehard battery. I have always used Diehard batteries and I always will.
The Polar Vortex (otherwise known as a winter cold spell) zapped the battery which was just installed at the beginning of the summer to replace a 6yr old Duralast. Tried charging (my Die Hard portable jumper kit, showing 100% on digital readout, still would not start it), driving for a day and started fine, afterwards (that evening). 2 days later, morning; same thing, dead again. Don't care what type of deal/discount I can get on one of these batteries in the future, I'll PASS! This is ridiculous.
According to the sears employee they don't stock this battery anymore and now only have the 50975 which i guess is a "newer version" of this battery. I specifically chose this one over the 50975 because this one has more cca and reserve. I drove an hour to sears and back to find this out. I ended up returning the battery becuause of this.
The battery is great been letting the truck set for a week or so and I get in it and it starts right up no having to jump start it after setting so long but I have always liked die hard battery's....
Price way too high for a battery and warrantee short.. not recommend
my battery die three times in the past 3 months I had a ever start max from ******* 2 1/2 years old.. this battery(die hard gold) has a 3 year guaranty. I have had it in my car for about 1 month no problems.
battery will not start my car remotely today 40 degrees would not start had to go out and start by key. had to turn heater off and this has happened many of times.
