Even though this is new it seems much more powerful than the ones I have purchased from other large retailers. The cold cranking amps are rated higher than any other tractor battery I have seen. The way it starts would seem to prove the rating accurate. The 1 year free replacement helps as well. All the others are 90 days.
Time and the coming winter will tell the real story, however it is off to a great start!
I hope this falls into the good part of "you get what you pay for!"
After using previous batteries for 5 years, I bought this one in August, 2014 and it started loosing charge after 60 days. When I took it to the store, they charged and certified it as good but they did not show Amperage ( CCA?). When I tried to put it on the tractor after 4 days it lost its charge and does not crank the tractor. Store manager refused to replace with new saying that their test shows good. I argued with him to show the Cranking Amps to full rating ? When I tried my tractor with a different good battery it starts but not with this one. I would be careful about purchasing this battery by paying twice the amount when compared to other stores like BJ's and ***** stores prices, once again as warranty does not cover replacement even though the cranking amps are down. They send you back with the same battery as their test shows good after charging. But they do not show Cranking amps rating and charge does not hold good for days of use.
I have a $10,000 ********** Mover and the battery lasted less than 2 years. The Die Hard will out last the mower. Have used them for decades
usually a Diehard will last me for years this time This Battery lasted a couple days past a year and started to go bad and will not charge. In the past I have always had good luck. Sears is just going DOWN HILL FAST sorry to say
