OK, this battery has all the right stuff to be a good consumer product, but in checking the reviews, biggest complaints is that the battery does not last into the next season hence the 9 month warranty. ?I found this strange since it's a preimium AGM battery, it should last 2 to 4 years. ?So I bought one and looked it over. ?The caps that seal the battery after filling with fluid does not provide a tight 2 - 3 PSI pressure fit as found in most AGM batteries. ?As a result, the battery will quickly dry out in hot climates. ?The fix will costs 25 cents. ?You need about 2 inches of 3/8's black rubber hose like the kind used on the radiator over flow line that goes into your cars coolant over flow container. ?cut the hose into strips that are about 5/16th of an inch. ?you will need 6 of them. ?slide them over each of the fill center nozzles in your battery, after inserting all the 5/16th of an inch cut sections into each of the 6 fill points, install the sealing cap as normal. ?Once the sealing caps are installed, your battery will now be sealed and be able to maintain the 2 - 3 PSI pressure needed to convert the sulphur gas created from the re-charge process to condensed battery acid so the AGM material can be resoaked and maintain is moisture. ?If you need more info, goolge my internet Id of speakerfritz and drop me a line.
I bought this battery for a 2002 HD Softail. According to their application chart, this was the right battery for my bike. I got it home, charged it and the posts don't line up with the cables. Sears won't take it back now that it is charged. Even though their chart says it will fit? Now I'm out $100.00!!!
110.00 for a battery that did not last a year - Complete garbage. i expected more from a Die Hard. Warranty is only 9 months and mine wont take a charge going into season 2. I kept a battery tender on it when not in use for an extended time and was always stored inside an attached garage. Do Not Purchase!!
This battery did not last very long
I went through 2 diehard atv batterys in 4 years, maybe even less time.i also bought the diehard trickle charger and it outright killed the battery.don't recommend the diehard 2 amp trickle charger.not happy with the diehard batterys.
Battery bought 7/14 was used for 20 starts was on tender for winter, 9 months and 3 days old and is dead...Sears doesn't stand behind its products nor doesn't do right by it's customers.......no wonder they show losses after losses ....I'll never buy a thing in Sears again
