You have to add the electrolyte to this battery and charge it up. But it was easy and took only one hour to charge @ 2amp ( max recommended charging rate).
This item was only use for a small 12v sealed light for a very few times and it is less than 18 months old and will no longer hold a charge. For the time I used it it was definitely not worth the money or trouble to acquire it.
