My husband is an ironworker and he goes through a pair of boots every 3 months. They literally get shredded, but better his shoes than his feet. He always these boots and so we are so stoked when they are on sale. He's tried other, more expensive boots but he always comes back to these.
I wore these boots only occasionally and only on dirt and grass -- a total of about 20 times, or the equivalent of less than three weeks' daily wear -- and the soles started to crack, break, and fall apart around the welt stitching near the toe. If you read other reviews of this boot (including the steel toe and 6-inch models), you'll find that this is a frequent problem, and (of course) Sears won't make it right if the problem occurs after 30 days. It's clear that Sears is using cheap, substandard material to save a buck and stick you with a defective item. Buyer beware!
To high and uncomfortable on my ankles, feel very heavy and cumbersome for what I do everyday....
my Husband loves them
I like these boots. They are a good Chinese product. I have purchased them before. I have one problem. When they were delivered to my home, I opened the box. I discover that one of those ink exploding theft devices was left attached to my boots. Why would you ship a pair of boots that I had paid for with that thing still on them? I will have to take the boots and my receipt to a Sears store over 30 miles away to get that thing taken off. I was disappointed at this inconvenience.
