My husband is an ironworker and he goes through a pair of boots every 3 months. They literally get shredded, but better his shoes than his feet. He always these boots and so we are so stoked when they are on sale. He's tried other, more expensive boots but he always comes back to these.
I wore these boots only occasionally and only on dirt and grass -- a total of about 20 times, or the equivalent of less than three weeks' daily wear -- and the soles started to crack, break, and fall apart around the welt stitching near the toe. If you read other reviews of this boot (including the steel toe and 6-inch models), you'll find that this is a frequent problem, and (of course) Sears won't make it right if the problem occurs after 30 days. It's clear that Sears is using cheap, substandard material to save a buck and stick you with a defective item. Buyer beware!
Have been purchasing these boots for many years now. My husband wore redwings for a long time, but tried these and they are all he wears now. The fit, the tread and keeping them oiled, they last for a long time.
I have bought these work boots for many years. I have been very happy with them. However I don't care for the built in hammer toe protection. It would be nice to be able to buy them without this feature.
My husband and several of his construction friends wear these and these only. We buy them 2 pairs at a time, for over 20 years. He loves them and has them on now just watching TV.
