I'd been searching some of the high-end websites for a realistic 9-foot Christmas tree, but just couldn't justify spending $1,000 or more in spite of all of the rave reviews and the other "endorsements" by tv shows, newspapers, and consumer ratings groups. I also searched most of the popular home-decor websites, but it was difficult to get a true sense of the quality of a tree from zooming in on a few online photos so far that the images became blurry. I liked that I could view this tree in person at my local Sears. There's a mix of the bristle-branches and the molded plastic branches, and it is somewhere between a "slim" tree and a full tree. It's a pretty & realistic shade of green that's not too dark or too blue. The perfectly symmetrical shape won't fool anyone into thinking it is "real" but it's a very nice tree with dense branches and if you take the time to spread them out, it's almost completely impossible to see through to the other side. Someday I'll get one of those impressive $1,500 trees with a million branches and lights, but in the meantime, this is a great value for a lovely tree.
I purchased this tree on-line through Sears. I expected a NEW tree to be delivered. When I received it, the box was taped together with duct tape and the box was busting at the seams. The UPS driver was surprised it made it to my door. Upon opening the box, I found it was a used tree, perhaps a display from a Sears store. It had cotton snow on some of the limbs and the some of the limbs were bent. When set up, it did not light up. Defective. I tried to return it to the local Sears store but they wouldn't accept it. They said it wasn't returnable. I tried calling the Sears return line 4 times before getting a someone on the phone. A guy named Mar said I could return it to my local Sears store, even called them to tell them to accept it. I took it to the local Sears store a second time. Once again they kept telling me it was NOT returnable. A manager named Michelle was rude, not helpful and kept telling me it was not returnable to the store or on-line. I didn't even get an apology from Michelle saying "sorry you have to deal with this" or even something like that. Michelle said she was going to call me back after investigating it but NEVER did. I called back to the Sears phone center, told them I wanted a refund. It took about 30 minutes on the phone to get results. After 7 days, I FINALLY got a UPS return label. I've been a Sears credit card buyer since 1979, but I think this was the last purchase I will ever make with Sears. TERRIBLE SERVICE! Very disappointed. And I had to lug around a 60 pound tree in my car to the Sears store twice for return and then to the UPS Store to ship it.
I have received multiple emails from Sears even so far as to click on the buy it now tab and this product is not available.
Bottom row of lights and middle of tree lights didn't work, taking it right out of the box, but still a gorgeous tree.
It’s relly very beautiful. I like it.
