I considered buying this product a year ago but was very concerned because the display in the store was not in the least bit sturdy,so I continued looking. Then one day I was visiting my sister who has two boys, age 4 and 6,and she showed me the new bunk bed that she had got for them much to my surprise it was this bed.I carefully looked it over and all seemed well but sadly within 2 weeks the bed wasn't holding together. All the while I really needed a bunk bed for my 2 and 3 year old girls.I found myself right back where I started and although I knew my sister was having trouble with this bed I still wanted it.So I bought it.The bed only took about a couple of hours to put together(with 2 people) but it is very sturdy and it is a beautiful pine the picture on the box(which I was able to fit into my mini van without folding the passenger seat)and on the web does no justice. My girls have climbed and bounced around on this bed and it is still standing I've owned this product for a few months and haven't had to tighten any screws or bolts.I have already recommended this product to a friend and I am recommending it still. For the price and quality it is a great buy.I do however suggest that when putting this product together you read all the instructions carefully and that whomever is putting it together pays attention because unfortunately my sisters bed was not put together the way that is was supposed to be.I do hope that my review has been helpful to you in some way thank for taking the time to read it.
i've had these bunk beds as two single beds. the wooden slacks on both side of the bed have cracked my two children weigh less than 50 lbs this was a horrible purchase I wish i could get my money i now have to purchase new beds for my children
We purchased this set 3 yrs ago for our 4 & 6 yr old, since they were still young we used them as separate beds for about a year. Then we pulled the kit out of storage and put them together as bunk beds with no problem. For the price, the quality is pretty good, real wood, solid & sturdy and never had an issue with it coming lose. Keep the hex tool they give you and try to remember to tighten screws every few months. Not sure what the actual weight limit is, but I frequently fall asleep on the bottom bunk with one of my boys and I'm about 180 pounds and my oldest son is about 65 pounds. These are a lower bunk, so there's not the normal space between the top & lower bunk so not the best option for older kids. But once my oldest is too tall and has no head room on the bottom, I will separate them again, they are definitely very durable as twin beds on their own. We actually looked at buying a twin bed for my youngest who is 3 and will be moving out of his toddler bed soon, we decided these are worth the price of having the extra bed for when their friends spend the night or for the extra room. It really is worth it, the assembly was a bit cumbersome, but worth it for the quality and price.
They are very nice and extremely durable
I'm very happy with these beds. They were pretty easy to assemble and I am happy yo say all the pieces and parts were there
They even came with a little hex head wrench to help with assembly . I would highly recommend this set of beds to friends and family.
We bought this 2 weeks ago and it is not a very stable bed. My 6 year old that weighs less than 50lbs climbs up the ladder and the bed shakes. Now the bolts are coming out and the thing is falling apart but the return policy on beds is only 7 days so I'm out almost $200.Don't waste your money on this bed.
