Delivered mostly broken and no refund or exchange

I ordered this item though Sears.com. While it was sold by K-Mart, it was delivered directly to a Sears store. The item arrived at the store with most pieces broken (Sears associate confirmed that), and I was asked to go to the store to request a refund or return it to K-Mart. Well, by mistake one of the Sears associates checked on their system that I had accepted delivery of the item--that is without me even seeing the item. When I told him that I did not want to take possession of a damaged item, he said that it was too late, and I had to take it with me. I asked to speak with a Supervisor who in turn told me the very same thing. She said the only recourse I had was to take my claim to K-Mart because Sears was not responsible (even when I placed the order through Sears.com and the damaged item was delivered to a Sears store). She indicated that I had to complete the claim online through the same Sears website, and sadly, almost two months later I am still waiting for Sears to indicate on the website available to me that the item was delivered, so I can try to return it. Believe it or not, on their computers they show the item as delivered, but on the system i can see the item has not been delivered. Things are basically on limbo. It is probably too late to return the item already or even ask for an exchange. But I think it is important that I share this review since it highlights a completely broken ordering and delivery system, the poor customer service, and the incompetence in handling this transaction.

I am very disappointed with the way that they Sear charged me 10 dollars for shipping and then to find out that 5 pieces were broken. I could have lived with 1or2 broken but I still have to go out of my way to repackage the item and then drop it off and still wate for my refund and still Sear didn't return 25 of my fast cash points that has happened in 2 Occasion.
