essential stainless steel tea kettle is wonderful

we love this tea kettle. use it several times a day, the kettle is attractive , easy to clean, and heats quickly and stays hot. i like that the metals are safe for my family and the opening mechanism is very nice

Be careful of your flame. Smelled this awful odor coming from the kitchen, checked and found that the handle & plastic spout melting. Made a mess of our stove. Just keep the flame directly under the pot. Don't let it get too high or off center. Sounds stupid, right? But it's not the first time I've boiled water. It IS the first time I've had a tea kettle melt. Maybe not the best materials.

Handle broke off...

After using this about 6 months the bolt holding the handle on at the back rusted through and the handle came loose. Don't know how or why. No way to fix it. I used it every day, and boiled water a few times a day for tea and coffee. Took it back to the store and they said "Nothing we can do." No papers inside to see who to call about it. Better get Revereware with the 1 year warranty in the future.
