This saw is great for the price! I had bought a table saw from ************** and it was garbage( as, apparently, all HF power tools are). This was nicely designed w/ it's own stand. I read reviews on this saw before I bought, and it always kills me that people buy an entry level power tool and expect it to perform like a precision surgical instrument under comercial industrial use. I bent one of the stand rails when I put my foot on it, it's not sturdy enough for that, but I love that it at least comes w/ a stand and the accessories are easy to use and remove. I recently bought a cheap set of dado blades and the saw performed great as long as I didn't try to cut more than 1/3 " at a time. I like that the blade guards form a thin rectangle that can be used to line up the cut. If you're a professional or a master craftsman, you will probably need a lot more saw, but if you are a weekend warrior like me, this will probably do the job.
This is the first table saw I have ever bought. With such a tight budget when I ran across a "Craftsman" within my budget I was thrilled. After setting it up in my tiny shop I am not so thrilled. It is impossible to control the dust as assembled. sawdust comes out of every vent in the body and straight off the blade into my face. As a test I put a piece foam board between the stand and the saw and put my collector hose in the bottom. no change. Test 2 I taped off every vent, with collector running, 1 change, the dust exiting the "height/tilt" channel tripled and the blade still blew dust in my face. Add to this it is very hard to square the blade to the table and the fence is ****. i would not recommend this saw. "Craftsman" let me down.
I bought this a while back and it’s been a great tool to use.
I just bought it and so far it's great cause I have to get a new saw because the one that comes with it is not too good but other than that it's great
This saw is a great value for the price paid. A competitor had a similar saw foe around the same price . However it was a table top model and it cost an additional $75 for a stand. Have not had a chance to use the saw yet. Bought for future projects.
