This thing will last for many, many years. We're on our second one. The only reason we're replacing it is it rusts. Otherwise it would probably last another 15 years.

Please, if you look at this product and think "Oh! It says tension pole so it must be easy to assemble!" you are very wrong. I held out for years not buying one of these because I thought my shower was too small. The only reason I broke down and got one is because of having procedures done to my back (not related). I remember thinking that it should be easy and purchased it after work one night. I got it home and first went to assemble it and the instructions were not very descriptive in the parts or directions. The first thing it says in the directions (not the box) is the diameter tube can be cut. Woah. wait a minute. I bought this to put together and put in, nowhere on the bot did it mention "cutting" pipes. After having my father use his pipe cutter (long distance from my place) to cut what I thought was correct, I got it home and it didn't fit from tub to ceiling. So then I'm still without a pipe cutter knowing I need to cut this thing to fit "appropriately". I happened to remember I had borrowed a hand saw awhile back and decided to use this for the "final cut". After about a half hour, one more cut (making 3 different cuts), cut thumb and a even more throbbing back (now it's relative), I managed to get this thing into place. I still do not trust it. I think this company could've been a lot more descriptive on it's packaging. I managed, but some people just can't. I would take it back if it weren't for the cuts I made. May not hold your shower stuff but could be beneficial for a high intense workout.

Took long time to assemble

It looks great and holds everything. But it took us couple hrs to assemble and my guy is very handy. I'd only recommend it to those who will have help putting it together!

Lasted about 1y, started to rust..

Over the year, there was about 5 weeks of use.
Once it starts to rust, it doesn't look good. I tried to clean it up with chrome polish, but not good enough. 2 stars because it was inexpensive to start. I guess as far as a shower caddy, it is OK...but I'm going to switch to something that is more sturdy.
