This is a real ceramic knife, not a ceramic-coated metal knife. As with all such knives, it is best used for cutting fruits and vegetables to prevent oxidization (browning). It is lightweight and extremely sharp but brittle, so I avoid using it on hard objects like bone-in meat, as the edge is prone to chipping. The included sheath is too tight to use on a daily basis so I store the knife in a knife block.
this is a great buy. my wife love it! Very light weight yet, it is sharp. %' is the length we need as we have relatively small hand. The handle is designed for strong grip so we are very happy to have this one for our kitchen
