The Power of Induction
So easy to use and clean up couldn't be easier! Heats pans incredibly fast! "Burner" shuts off automatically when pan is removed but if you shortly return the pan it will resume cooking at the same setting! When you're done cooking, the stove can be touched witthin about 2 minutes and there's an indicator light to tell you it's safe. Highly recommend this product! I bought this in April. It arrived May 5th. It’s now late June and I’m still waiting for it to work. I guess it was wired wrong at the factory. I have another service scheduled this week. I can’t give much of a review since I haven’t been able to use it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Previous stove had the burners labeled front/rear. We have a lot of users and small kitchen, so we keep pans on the stove. It's not unusual to have someone activate the wrong burner. It's too easy of a mistake to make becasue the manufacturer didn't label front/rear on the top conrol panel.
Induction vs gas - we need a list of the poweer settings to use for various oils. We use lodge cast iron and occasionally find that we burn the oil at too high a temp. This stove heats much more quickly than gas, ( good thing ), but with a gas stove, you see the oil and turn it down. I guess that this is just somthing to get used to. A chart of power level vs oil type would be helpful.
We make lots of pasta now, this thing speeds things up by boiling water very fast.
Nice stove, ergonomics could be better. There's a learning curve to using it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We love showing our friends and family how the induction range works. It's magic! The oven preheats quickly and baked evenly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Haven't had the range long, but so far, great. Boiling water takes less time than he electric coil heaters.
Efficient heat deliver. The food cooks, not me.
Tons of power: Water boils in half the time, steaks sear in even less.
Easy to clean
Cons: It doesn't get along as well as I'd hoped with my All Clad cookware I bought specifically for it. The largest burner only works with cookware that is far larger in diameter.
The heat isn't as even as with gas. This may also be related to the point above, but the heat is concentrated in a circular area in the center of the cookware, with I'd guess about 50% area coverage.
Overall, I still love having it, and intend to stick with induction indefinitely. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I’ve had my new stove for 2months and love it. It boils water so quickly i have to make sure I have my food ready to place in the water. The constant temperature and quick change to raise or lower temperature are as good a my old gas stove. Most of my pots and pans are induction safe, just stick a magnet on the bottom. If it sticks it’s good. One negative...it is a touch screen and I would rather have knobs.
