I have been in severe neck pain via a horrible car accident years ago. I tried neck massagers, rollers, inflatable head lifter, bags of ice, day spas.. all kinds of crazy things. Basically.. The base of my skull where it meets my spine gets inflamed. I get headaches and I can barely function. I've taken anti inflammatory medications so much it gave me a stomach ulcer once. Then I found this at a barnes & noble at the check out. I thought well it's better then melting bags of ice.. I'll give it a try. Holy moly batman!! This has helped me so so much. It cradles just right. The pokey things pinch the right pressure points. The coldness reduces the inflammation. The curve cradles my neck. I get up and I can feel all the pressure falling down and away. I came here just to say thank you. So thank you!!
Wow. Kind of a let down. I agree with the other reviewers. Where's the instruction sheet!!!!! I know, I know--follow the link that's provided. Well.....the link is pretty useless!!! "Put item on floor, lie down, voila!!!" uh, I coulda figured that out!!! I was sort of hoping there might be some...oh...helpful hints for different ways to use this item, like for pain in different areas of the neck, different types of headaches, -- ? NOPE!!! Gaiam. you are usually in touch with the healing community, but this time...not so sure....

Metal "plug"?
|Just purchased Hot & Cold Neck Cradle at a retail store. There is a small metal "tool"? in a ziplock bag included. What is it and what do I do with it?
Helps with my headaches
|The instructions didn't come with it but were super easy to find online. Even without the instructions, it's a pretty straightforward item to use just by coping the picture on the box. Fast relief for neck strain headache.
Which way?
|Does the curve go up or down. I don't know because the "instructions" don't give any information about how to use.
To keep extra trash out of the landfill . . .
|Instructions could have been printed on the box! Bought this to replace my old still point inducer which is disintegrating. This one is much harder, and so less comfortable, but still effective.
