Quiet, Efficient Operation
We have used an under the sink dishwasher for 17 years and it's never had a repair. It's configured differently than a normal dishwasher. The top rack is flat in the back where it goes under the sink but it's fine for large utensils or shallow containers. My only complaints would be that you must use the compatable stainless steel sink that is sold with this dishwasher. The sink is not as deep as a typical sink but I've had no problems with it. My other complaint would be it's not the quietest. All in all this dishwasher is a great alternative when the only place you can install your dishwasher is under the kitchen sink.
If you rent an apartment this may be ok, but as a homeowner with a brand new built house this dishwasher is cheap from the get go.Have had it 2 weeks and hate it. A service repairman even told me how cheap this is.We already had a service call because the soap dispenser would not stay locked.Save your money don't buy this dishwasher!!
Thank god that GE still makes this dishwasher and Sears sells it. After comparison shopping, Sears was the cheapest in price. This new one is to replace an old undersink dishwasher that was in my house when we bought it 19 years ago. gets the dishes clean.
Since this is the only unit we could find that fits under the sink, there is not much choice. The dishwasher works well.
Thank God GE is still making this under the sink dishwasher. My original machine I had was bought with the house so I dont know how long it was installed before I bought the house, but it did last me 16 years until it went bad. It's just a shame it has to be so pricey, but that's the typical supply and demand of an item. Other than that works great.
This review is specifically about the under sink space saver dishwasher. I had one in an apartment in the early 90’s and found it very effective. When renovated the kitchen in my condo I wanted a dishwasher and installed one. The newer version was not as attractive as the old one in my rental unit and the space inside is not as functional, but the performance is excellent. The dishes, glasses and pots and pans come out sparkling clean. It is a very good alternative to save space and use an an everyday dishwasher. When entertaining I often need to load and wash two or three times to get all the dishes and glassware done. I would like to see the under sink dishwasher updated with the features many full size machines have.
GE is the only company that still makes an under counter unit and we appreciate it. Our last GE dishwasher in this rental unit lasted 22 years! Yes we wished the price was lower, but when space is of a premium - something has to give! Very expensive to do anything else but replace unit with similar unit.
