Second GE Fridge we have purchased. Love it. Highly recommend
I found this unit seems to be smaller than 25 cu. ft. I gave up width for depth when I had to replace a Whirlpool of 25 cu. ft.. It holds less items unless they are all 3x5x2 in. containers making for a cramped storage area. The refrigerator will sometimes freeze items, on top shelf, even when set at recommended temps. The freezer does not keep a consistent temp level, (again at recommended temps). Ice cream, for example, will be to hard to scoop out one time and the next time it will be as soft as soft serve. Neither of these compartments are over filled. The ice dispenser will sometimes spray ice chips if container being filled is not held tight to opening. This unit is in a household of three (3) adults. Be careful of exchanging width for depth.
Sears has not responded to my numerous emails or calls this fridge is not ENERGY STAR Certified nor ADA Compliant according to the MFG GE.
False advertizing led me to pay more then I would for a comparable fridge.
I like side by side rather than freezer at the bottom, I think it's more organized. I think this fridge is a good price and I like the stainless and water dispenser. Only thing I don't like is that the stainless steel sometimes has a water mark on it if I spill a little water down the front when using the water dispenser, but it's not permanent or anything I just have to wipe it off every once in a while.
Works great and is very quiet compared to it previous one.
We bought this in slate as we are tired of steel.
It is an organized refrigerator. I prefer the side by side to the door over door. I like the freezer to be organized too. Very happy with purchase.
This refrigerator is basic without a lot of bells and whistles, but has just enough convenience features to make it a great value. The water-bottle sized water dispenser is great and there is a lot more room inside than I expected for a side-by-side.
