Quality and Convenience
The machine works like a champ, we do a lot of laundry and it is not balking at the load. The control dial is a little initiative to someone who doesn’t know their fabrics, but the clothes come out nice.
I purchased online with sears & their price was unbeatable...Now I know why! I was super excited to find a great price on the new gas dryer I needed & I didn't question it at all because its SEARS right? Wrong!! This is NOT the Sears I remember. I selected the Free pickup at any Sears authorized location as it was several weeks faster than delivery to my home. Nearest authorized location..2 hours away which is not a problem as I needed it asap. Few days later got the email from Sears that it had arrived at pickup location. So the next morning I hook up my trailer & start this journey. When I arrive at Sears location they tell me they DON'T actually have the dryer yet & its on a truck somewhere but it may be there later that day. I ask the employee why did I receive an email saying it was ready for pickup? She replies.."I did't send you an email"! So I call Sears.com & get passed around on the phone for at least an hour & never spoke with anyone that spoke fluent English then placed on hold for 30 more minutes then they hung up (and I was NOT being rude at all). Keep in mind I'm sitting in my truck in the Sears parking lot this whole time. Ended up sitting there for 4 hours until the dryer arrived. BUT HOLD UP...NOW COMES THE BEST PART The NEW GE Dryer came with the power cord installed wrong & had to pay an electrician to take apart MY BRAND NEW DRYER just to get to the wires & rewire it correctly. After all that it now works but doesn't dry fast at all & isn't that the one thing its supposed to do??
Good price but takes a awhile to dry. I often have to run a load twice.
Nice and efficient dryer nice and quiet except the buzzer which is loud enough for me to hear while I'm upstairs
This dryer is very easy to use and effectively dries clothing.
This review is for Sears delivery, not the actual appliance. I ordered the appliance on 12/3 and the earliest possible delivery time was 12/18. I did not receive a call the night before letting me know the delivery window, so I called and heard it would be 4:00 - 6:00 PM on 12/18. While I waited at home, nobody showed up, and then Sears called me and said we have to reschedule for 12/24 because nobody was home... ????? So on 12/24, they come and drop off the dryer in the garage without even removing it from the box, and refused to install it even though I PAID for installation. So now I have a dryer I can't even use. I would like for someone to please contact me to make this right.
