Strength of Storage
Uses Less Energy
LA-DWP refrigerator exchange program. Our old fridge was not working well. Seems to be a great fridge
When the fan (condenser fan??) is running, sometimes for 45+ minutes, it's way too loud. It interferes with TV sound in the adjoining room. It keeps me from falling asleep in my room roughly 35 feet away when I leave the bedroom door open. However, I believe that GE considers this noise level to be normal for an Energy Star model. Something tells me that, had I spent a thousand dollars more on such a model, I wouldn't be hearing this noise. I rate this unit one star only because this problem is inexcusable - it's hard to believe it could be a production oversight. By purchasing one of the less expensive models, I should be forgoing some features like ice maker, square footage, door alarms, etc. I should, however, receive a refrigerator that at least keeps food cool and isn't an assault to the senses (hearing) when it runs. I'm preparing to return it.
If you're buying the slate finish online not that it is not like the picture shown. I bought the whole slate finish set because I did not want black at all in the kitchen and this set shows all the darker areas as a soft grey. It's all black. Pitch black. So if you're looking for the perfect aesthetic here, it's not for you and not as shown. Disappointed.
We need a new refrigerator but didn’t need all the bells and whistles. This was the perfect size and had everything we wanted. My only issue was that it was a little tough adjusting the shelves, and there were not instructions in the manual. But, we figured it out and now the shelves are exactly were we wanted them.
Got this GE refrigerator to replace an older version of this model.
It has basic features and works well.
Good buy for the money.
This is a very quiet running unit. Everything seems to be cooled sufficiently. The only regret I have is not getting a larger model since I have recently bought a lots of produce that needs refrigeration.
It makes quite a bit of noise when running thru it's cycle. It's a replacement fridge for the basement where I don't have to listen to run thru it's cycle to much. If it was a main kitchen fridge, I wouldn't like hearing all the noise.
