Fuel Your Passion For Cooking
This is a cooking item usually placed in a modern kitchen. Looks good when it is brandy new and shining clean from the kitchen area. What a GEM , 4 burners on top, a baking area and on the bottom a broiler. Wow . Now that's cooking with GAS !!!
It's the color I wanted and bisque seems to be hard to find. The top surface cleans easily. The stove smells really bad. I was using a vintage Crown range for 33 years at it never smelled! The top burners smell a little. The oven drove me out of the house and it took 24 hours to clear. The oven was on for 30 minutes at 400 degrees. I thought I was driving behind a bus in 1965. I won't turn the oven on again to test until spring when I can open all the windows and doors. It's not leaking gas when it is off, and the stove was professionally installed. Service said maybe the oven has coatings on it that need to burn off. It should not smell at all from day one, in my opinion. The other problem is the settings on the knobs mean nothing. Low is very high and boils water quickly. To get a simmer you do a deep knee bend to get eye level and set the knob to within 1/4 inch of off. Same with the small burner on the back right. Who knows what the oven is producing? The stove was converted to propane. I which I had not purchased it. It's a health hazard.
I wish the broiler tray pulled out . I think you could get burned if you are not careful.
Clean with clock. Broiler at the bottom only has door open. Does not pull out. Only grates above gas lighters
I've only had this a month, but it seems fine. love the color and retro look!
Works amazingly fast and efficiently! Love the color too.
