Cook a Feast
Installed easy peasy. Looks very high quality, almost industrial like. Love the look and design. Very appealing for sure. Product came with no dings or dents. Everything was in the box as described. Minimal set up needed. Great product and a great deal.
After a three and 1/2 week wait for delivery, Sears called to tell me the stove was backordered from the factory on the morning of the delivery date. They had no idea when the order could be filled. I cancelled the purchase and am still waiting for an email confirming the cancellation and refund, four hours later.
Range looks great. Conversion to propane was a nighmare, took over 2 hours. One orifice did not fit right. Oven had to be taken apart to convert. Flames don't really fine tune. The steam clean function didn't do much of anything to clean some greasy splatters, and just left a cup of water at the bottom of the oven. Do yourself a favor and get the self clean if you're getting a GE range.
Easy to clean. Precise flame output. Beautiful appearance
Nice looking unit, it was fairly easy to adapt to LP gas. A little caulk on edges held the orifices while pulling out and installing. If dropped they can be difficult to retrieve.
The oven orifice was more difficult especially for someone if they had short arms.
Overall time to switch was about 35 minute.
The only draw back was that the burned on the low setting were still rather high.
Nowhere in the paperwork or GE online did it suggest a remedy
However I found one that is very effective and simple: pull off the know and get a tiny flat head screwdriver. Inside the tube that holds the handle/knob on is a tiny set screw. I turned it a little and now my simmer is even better than the 20 year old unit this one replaced
I am enjoying this stove. Love the convenience of a built-in griddle.
