Since this is a replacement microwave for our GE microwave that died, we were able to use the same mounting bracket which made the installation a lot easier. Since the microwave was new when we purchased the house, the original microwave only lasted 1 year and 8 months. With that in mind, when I ordered the replacement microwave I also purchased a 5 year extended warranty. I have always trusted GE products over the years and so far have only had 2 that did not hold up as long as I thought they should have. All my current appliances are GE brands..
Still waiting for delivery! NO SHOW ! Keep moving delivery date...Later&Later still. With a $89.00 no option delivery CHARGE!
With the help of "customer service" I ordered this microwave with delivery, installation and haul away along with an extended warranty. The microwave was delivered on the morning of 6/27 and left on my back porch. The man who delivered it told me that the installation team would be there later. By 6 pm, I called and spoke with someone who identified himself as Harry who spoke with a south Asian accent. He transferred me to a female with a similar accent. The apparent problem was that in the process of the original order, the customer service representative had omitted the installation. I paid an additional $179 to order the installation and was told I would hear from the installers within 24 to 48 hours. In 90 minutes, it will be 48 hrs. and I have heard nothing yet. As a senior citizen, I cannot even lift the box, have no idea how to remove the old microwave and need this service. I have a witness who heard me order it with installation initially when I was speaking with the customer service representative. I ordered haul-away, so clearly, I expected installation, or what would there be to haul away? There is no roof over my back porch and rain is predicted 7/1. The people I spoke with about the problem sounded as though they are on the other side of the planet, so I don't expect them to do the installation, but there had better be someone here to install it within another 48 hours or they can haul the rain-soaked box away.
I���d give Sears 0 stars if I could. Terrible customer. service. NEVER received microwave. Ordered & reordered it. BOTH times it was shipped to a warehouse in Illinois & they kept telling me the installer would pick it up & bring it to my home. I live in MD. Installer was in Baltimore - over 800 miles away from IL warehouse. Told me I���d have to cancel order & reorder AGAIN. RIDICULOUS!!! I will never buy from Sears again.
My microwave has not been installed or delivered. I cannot reach anyone via telephone or email regarding my purchase. Should I take Sears to court since this purchase was made in October 2021, the total costs have been paid, and I am still waiting.
It 2 took months to get after numerous shipping delays. This unit had been sitting for months somewhere as box was covered in layers of dust. Unit came dented which had to be corrected in order to mount to mounting bracket. Mount portion for vent screen was dented as well. Microwave seems to work ok. Unit was dented before it went into shipping box as box was not damaged. If ordering online you only have this path to check on order. Sears Home Store in not attached to Sears and they cannot check on order unless you order through them. I didn't take any photos as I was able to straighten back plate enough to mount. Not sure I would recommend ordering thru Sears, Home Store, yes.
Ordered and paid for microwave on 9-6. Today is 10-17 and still no microwave. One was in warehouse, our model, and rep doesn’t know why it hadn’t shipped other than it might have someone else’s name on it. No answers?
