With its 370-CFM venting system, this range hood helps eliminate the smells in your kitchen quickly, which is something you'll appreciate when cooking fish, curry dishes or your very garlicky spaghetti sauce.
The fan is designed with 4 speeds so you can control how much or how little power you need to eliminate smoke, grease, odors and moisture from your kitchen air, allowing you to breathe cleaner, healthier air while you cook.

Lift mechanism failed in less than two years. Cheaply designed and built. Avoid.
Have had it install only a month. Works well so far.
We bought this when we updated our kitchen recently. Previously had a Jenn Air system. It was old and very loud! This raises and lowers with ease and the multiple fan levels are perfect. So far, love it!
When I read a description of the unit, it stated it worked with a remote control. I assumed it would be wireless but it’s not and you’re supposed to drill a 1/2” hole in your countertop to have this cheap wired remote control work. That’s the most idiotic idea that GE has ever thought up. All GE downdrafts are designed this way so my next one won’t be a GE. The fan is also quite noisy. Finally, the stainless steel finish is $180 more expensive than the black finish. I’m very disappointed in GE.
This is a great solution if you do not have space for a big hood or do not want to be bumping your head on a big hood as you cook.
This was supplied to us as a replacement for a Monogram Downdraft which I understand is not made any more. It cost lot of money repairing the 9 year old Monogram downdraft until we replaced with his universal one. Not pretty as our old one but works.
