With its 370-CFM venting system, this range hood helps eliminate the smells in your kitchen quickly, which is something you'll appreciate when cooking fish, curry dishes or your very garlicky spaghetti sauce.
The fan is designed with 4 speeds so you can control how much or how little power you need to eliminate smoke, grease, odors and moisture from your kitchen air, allowing you to breathe cleaner, healthier air while you cook.
This downdraft system features a telescopic...
We purchased this for our central island which has not hood for ventilation. Paired it with a GE Profile PGP986SET4SS Cooktop. Works great
Lift mechanism failed in less than two years. Cheaply designed and built. Avoid.
Have had it install only a month. Works well so far.
We bought this when we updated our kitchen recently. Previously had a Jenn Air system. It was old and very loud! This raises and lowers with ease and the multiple fan levels are perfect. So far, love it!
When I read a description of the unit, it stated it worked with a remote control. I assumed it would be wireless but it’s not and you’re supposed to drill a 1/2” hole in your countertop to have this cheap wired remote control work. That’s the most idiotic idea that GE has ever thought up. All GE downdrafts are designed this way so my next one won’t be a GE. The fan is also quite noisy. Finally, the stainless steel finish is $180 more expensive than the black finish. I’m very disappointed in GE.
This is a great solution if you do not have space for a big hood or do not want to be bumping your head on a big hood as you cook.
I order this product in 4/18 and from the third day it never worked. Technician came on five separate occasions to swap out parts, basically rebuilding the machine. Never worked. In August and finally fed up, I asked GE for my money back and had to work for that. I used personal time ($$$) for their useless efforts and nothing. Finally GE agreed to refund me my money for the returning of the machine. At first they expected me to pay for the removal cost, I refused and they caved in to only paid $140 while it cost me $150. But I now have to paid $175 to have a different brand install. Get your garlic, cross and wooden stakes, they are vampires.
